In 2003 , the Government of Japan issued a mandate to raise the profile of Japan as a tourist destination, and therefore creating a promotional campaign called Yokoso Japan! - Welcome to Japan. Their goal was to attract 10 million yearly visitors by the end of 2010, and keep building on this growth into the future.

About digi-joho Tokyo
We began to create our own company branded Travel to Japan web site in 2003, and called it digi-joho Japan. An all purpose site that promoted the country of Japan as a premier tourist destination in Asia.Our goal, then and now, was to create awareness that travel to Japan is quite affordable and offers an enriching Asian cultural experience not found anywhere else! We wanted to portray Japan as an undiscovered tourist destination of premium value!

We have also added new features targeting people who might stay a little longer than the average leisure tourist.
