Travel to Japan Blog Style Articles

The intention of our Travel to Japan series of blog styled articles is to provide essential travel planning information (Travel to Japan Tips), practical advice and tips for saving money while visiting Japan (Sestuyaku - Save Money in Japan!), and the city of Tokyo. We have also included articles that might be useful for those staying a little longer in Japan. Our Living in Japan, especially Living in Tokyo and Travelling Around Tokyo series of blog style articles should be helpful to both the Expat and the Traveller.

Further, to present the unusual display and juxtaposition of ultra-modern and the traditional in Japan, we have included articles that detail funky and cool tourist attractions, mostly in Tokyo, that we call B-Movie Style Tourist Attractions.

All travel articles and stories are written by native residents of Japan, mostly located in Tokyo, or people who have lived or living in Japan for a number of years.

We classify all articles into these themes:
(1) Essential Travel Planning for Japan
(2) Tips for Living in Japan and Tokyo (3) Travelling Around Tokyo and Surroundings
(4) Sestuyaku (Save Money in Japan!)
(5) B-Movie Style Attractions

Essential Travel Planning for Japan

A few helpful suggestions and hints for travel planning and visiting Japan. The majority of information applies to general travel in and around the Tokyo region, however, if you are only visiting Osaka, or Kyoto, our advice is still applicable. The tips and advice included in the Travel Planning series of articles are meant to embellish basic facts and data about being a tourist in the country of Japan.

Sestuyaku (Save Money in Japan!)

Japan and Tokyo can be expensive, similar to any major city of the world, like New York, London or Dubai. So, we have written articles to save you money to either extend your stay just a little longer or have you save a few dollars (find those bargain deals!) while living in Japan.

How to save money $$ $$ $$ while travelling around Tokyo is essentially the theme and the Japanese have a word for saving money: Setsyuka. Within this section we set out to dismiss the notion that Tokyo is too expensive for tourist travel. Look for this icon:

B-Movie Style is a name we give to funky, cool, bizarre or slightly amusing tourist attraction found in Japan, and in the city of Tokyo. If you found an uncommon attraction, leave use a comment, better yet, contact us and write an article we do accept article submissions!
