How to get Takeshiba Terminal
7 minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station (North Exit).
Be sure to exit from the North Exit: after you exit, turn right and walk and go over one light (intersection), keep walking straight until you see an object of a ship mast.

1-minute walk from Takeshiba Station of the Yurikamome line.
10-minute walk from Daimon Subway Station

Takeshiba Passenger Terminal Waiting Area No.1 (Daiichi Machiaijo)
Passengers wait here for boarding. There’s a small waiting room (Waiting Area No. 2) and there is a small restaurant serving food at very reasonable prices.

You can buy ferry boat tickets at ticket counters in the Waiting Area No. 1.
You can also buy tickets online, available only in Japanese language.

Types of boats
To go to theTokyo Islands, there are two types of boats available:

High-speed jet boat
High-speed jet boat
It is so fast and enables you to reach islands 4 or 5 times faster than the larger passenger ferry. (ETA: 1 hour 45 min from Takeshiba to Oshima Island)


Large passenger ferry.
It takes longer than jet-boat to reach the islands, but the fare is much lower.
(ETA. 8 hours from Takeshiba to Oshima Island). Departures at night, so you can arrive the next morning.

Travel Hints
For jet-boat passengers, there is a regulation in the number of baggage to carry on the vessel. You are allowed only 2 carry-on bags.

Your ticket is clipped when boarding. Hold on to the clipped ticket as you need it when getting off the boat.

- Cancellation of Boat Services
Weather causes cancellation of boat services, especially when windy. So, it is strongly recommendable to check the weather on the day before your departure, and on the day of your departure. You can check schedules here:
