Ginza
An exclusive, upscale shopping area, where many top brand stores are located. Ginza is also known for the Kabukiza Theatre and Shinbashi Enbujo, showcasing traditional Japanese theatre and performance arts.

Shinjuku
A business area of Tokyo that has the Tokyo City Hall and many high-rise complexes. In the Kabukicho area of Shinjuku, there is one of the biggest amusement squares in Japan. Shinjuku also has a good variety of restaurants with reasonable prices.

Asakusa
Along the road that heads towards the Sensoji Temple from Kaminarimon gate, are many shops selling traditional Japanese gifts and sweets. The ambiance of the area retains the nostalgic and traditional atmosphere of an old town, reflecting the time when the city of Tokyo was called Edo, in the Edo period.

Roppongi
A very trendy area and considered the international area of Tokyo. Roppongi is one of the many 'a city within a city' areas of Tokyo.

Odaiba
A newly developed waterfront and island area in Tokyo bay. There are many interesting attractions like an unique hot spring spa facility, major TV station, shopping malls and much more.

Higashi Gyoen Garden in Imperial Palace

Within the Palace there are historical structures as well as art museums. The garden lawn is beautiful and meticulously manicured.

A symbol of the Tokyo skyline (height is 333m) From the observatory deck a great panoramic view of Tokyo and surroundings is available. On a clear day, you can see Tsukuba Mountain and Mount Fuji. The night lighting of the structure is fabulous.

One of the most popular resort spots in Tokyo, the resort also includes 2 large amusement parks and various shopping malls.

Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO) - website
A tourist information center providing travel information for Tokyo and the rest of Japan.

Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena - website
This is the main arena where Sumo tournaments are held. Sumo tournaments are held 6 times annually in Japan and are hosted 3 times at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Arena. These Tokyo tournaments are held in January, May and September. The length of each tournament is 15 days.

Tokyo International Forum (Convention Halls) - website

Tokyo International Exhibition Center - the 'Big Site'
A large convention building with 230,000 square meters. This complex includes exhibition halls and meeting facilities. It is also known as one of the largest international exhibition halls in Japan, showcasing many interesting trade shows, like the Tokyo Anime Fair.

Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex
A large exhibition complex composed of 3 major facilities; the International Exhibition hall, the International Convention hall and the Makuhari Event Hall. The Makuhari Messe is also know as the exhibition center where the Tokyo Mortor Show is held.
