Affordable
Japan! In Japan's recent past there were
stories of the hyper-expensive prices of basic good and services
in the economical "miracle" boom
period of Japan in the 1980's. The world has changed many times since
the 1980's and the price of basic goods and services, accommodations,
transportation and dining has fallen to acceptable International price
levels.
Ok, if you are not too careful you could fall prey to an outrageously
priced item, but that will happen in any country you travel to, unfamiliar
with the culture and the language. If you are not prepared and not done
your travel research and price comparisons you might end up paying $200
US for a taxi ride from Narita Airport to downtown Tokyo!
We suggest you download the press release prepared by the UK office of
the JNTO - Japan National Tourist Organization - which compares basic
goods and travel services in Yen, USD and UK Pound Sterling. Click here
