Oedo Antique Fair in Tokyo | Finding Antiques in Tokyo
If are you planning to visit Tokyo around the middle of any month, why not go to the Ginza area and visit the Oedo Antique Fair!
The Oedo Antique Fair in Tokyo is a flea market held in Ginza. More than 250
dealers participate in this fair and it has been said it is the largest antique
fair in Japan.
The fair is basically held on the third Sunday of every month in front of the Exhibition hall called the Tokyo
International Forum which is 1 minute walk from the JR Ginza Station (please use the North Exit)

Oedo Antique Fair is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Finding Antiques in Tokyo
You might be surprised, but finding antique shops in Tokyo is harder than you
might expect. In fact, I have no idea where I would recommend you to go in Tokyo
to find good antique shops if someone ask me although I've been here for years.
Most Antique shops or flea markets at nearby temples mostly deal in junk. Not
recommended!
So, the Oedo Antique Fair will give you great opportunities to come across lovely Japanese antiques that you can hardly find anywhere else in Tokyo
In the Ginza area, there is many attractive attractions from big department stores to the Kabuki theater. Ginza is located in central Tokyo and it is quite close to Royal Palace Garden.
So, if you are interested in antiques we highly recommend you drop by the Oedo Antique while traveling in Tokyo.
The Oedo Antique Fair and Tokyo International Forum
The fair is held in the Marunouchi area that starts from in front of JR Tokyo station. You can get to the Fair by walking from the Tokyo station too - About a 5 minute walk.
*The fair is normally held on the third Sunday of each month, but it is better to confirm the date, go here for more information at the Tokyo International Forum web site
