TRAVEL TOPIC: B-Movie Style of
Attractions in Tokyo
A convenient way to go Odaiba Island in Tokyo
Odaiba is a man-made island in the Tokyo harbour, mostly developed as a tourist
destination. Odaiba was an isolated industrial park before being transformed
into a very modern, almost futuristic type of theme park. From the incredible
appearance of Tokyo
Big Site to the Telecom Center, there are many interesting
attractions that include hotels, shopping malls and Oedo
Onsen Monogatari, a traditional Japanese Onsen theme park from the EDO
period.

The Rainbow Bridge at Night
The Rainbow bridge connects Odaiba to central Tokyo.
The list of attractions at Odaiba are: the futuristic Telecom Center, Oedo Onsen Monogatari, Tokyo Big Sight, Fuji TV Building, Decks Tokyo Beach, Aquacity Odaiba, Green Marche, Panasonic Center, Museum of Maritime Science and the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.....many places to see and you really cannot see everything in one day, especially by walking. Plan to come many times as it is a nice change from downtown Tokyo.

A variety of building styles and tourist attractions at Odaiba
How to Get to Odiba
To go to Odaiba, take the monorail called Yurikamome. The Yurikamome starts from
the Shinbashi station and travels over the Rainbow Bridge reaching the Odaiba
Island, across the Tokyo Bay.. The view from Yurikamome going over Rainbow Bridge
is very beautiful on a sunny day. However, Yurikamome line is usually crowded,
especially on weekends and the fare is rather expensive. Besides, if the train
is too crowded, you won't enjoy the view much, unfortunately.
Here is another way to travel to Odaiba, which is to take the Toei bus (Tokyo bus).
From JR Hamamatsucho or the JR Tokyo Station
Take a Toei bus (Tokyo bus) going
to Odaiba. It takes more time than Yurikamome Line, though, it is not so crowded
and the fare is much cheaper: only 200 Yen. In addition, you can take other buses
too if you buy a one day ticket that which is 500 yen.
Here is two ways to get to Odaiba using Toei bus (Tokyo Bus)
From JR Hamamatsuchou Station
Bus Number: 01
Destination: Tokyo Big Site.
It runs every 15 minutes or so.

Tokyo Big Sight Convention Center
The bus stop is in the Tokyo International Trade Center
building. Sub building (Bekkan) and front of JR Hamamatsucho Station.
It takes 17 minutes to Odaiba Kaihin Park. It takes 29 minutes to Tokyo Big Site.
where many attraction spots are located, for example (Decks)
From JR Tokyo Station
Bus Number: 16
Destination: Tokyo big site.
It runs every 15 minutes or so.
A bus stop is in front of the Yaesu South Exit of JR Tokyo Station. You can take the bus No.16 there. It takes 45 minutes to go the Tokyo Big Site convention center. The bus doesn't go over Rainbow bridge, instead, it reaches Odaiba by crossing a few tiny bridges. It takes about 45 minutes, though, and is rarely crowded with passengers.
This bus does not go to many attraction spots like Odaiba Keihin Park. A personal
note - I always take this bus when I go to the Tokyo Big Site Exhibition center.
