New Express bus direct to Hakone from Narita International Airport
Hakone is one of the most popular hot springs resort areas in Japan and attract tourists from all over the world. Hakone is located in the surrounding areas of Tokyo, and the transit accessibility is excellent from downtown Tokyo. However, it can be rather annoying having to come to Tokyo first, then take a train, or a bus, and travel to Hakone, especially if you are arriving at Narita International Airport, which is on the east side of Toyko, whereas Hakone is on the west side of Tokyo.
However, here is some good news about a new way of getting to Hakone....
A new express bus was launched recently, that travels directly
to the Hakone area, striaght from Narita International Airport.
Directions on using the New Express Bus
The bus departs from Narita International Airport and travels along a route to Odawara where you can take the Hakone Tozan Railways and then go directly to the hot springs resort area of Hakone.
Important: From the Odawara bus stop, you need to take a taxi to go the Odawara
Station, though, but this will allow you to skip transferring trains in Tokyo.
Going to Narita International Airport from Odaware
A bus going to Narita International Airport from Odawara is also available. However, you need to reserve a seat before the buses departs from Odawara.
To Hakone-yumoto from Narita International Airport
By Bus and Train and By way of of Odawara.
Narita International Airport (Airport Bus Approximate 160 min. 3,800 Yen) to
Odawara Shiritu Byouin: Odawara Municipal Hospital
(Taxi Approx. 5 min. Approx. 700 Yen) tov
Odawara Stn (Hakone Tozan Railway Approximate 15 min. 300 Yen ) to
Hakone yumoto Stn.
As for the bus departures from Narita International Airport, you don't have to make a reservation. Before boarding the bus, it is a good idea to buy a ticket at the bus counter. Seats are taken by first come, first served basis.

To take a bus traveling to Narita Airport, You need to rserve a ticket beforehand. You need to reserve by 6:00 PM (18:00) at least one day before the day you are going to travel. Pre-Booking period is available from one month before your departure Reservation by phone at 0465-85-1362
