A Variety of Aquariums in Tokyo
It seems Japanese people like observing fish, as well as eating them. So, we
do have many aquariums in Tokyo and the suburbs of Tokyo for you to enjoy. Generally,
most of these aquariums are a great place for kids, some aquariums are quite
popular as a dating spot among younger couples, too.
Plus, some of these aquariums are quite large in scale and even adults can spend many hours having fun. If you get bored of visiting the regular tourist spots in Tokyo or shopping, visiting an aquarium is a great change of pace.
In Tokyo, there are 2 major aquariums.
Kasairinkai Koen (Tokyo Sea Life Park) -
Approx 15 min walk from the Tokyo Station by JR Keiyou Line.
Tokyo Sea Life Park Aquarium -
Shinagawa Suizokukan (Shinagawa Aquarium) -
Approx. 8 minute walk from the Omorikaigan station of the Keihin Kyuko line. Or, 15 minutes walk from the North exit of Omori station of JR Keihin Tohoku line.
Shinagawa Aquarium (only in Japanese)
It is nice to take a short boat cruise from the Shinagawa Aquarium or Kasairinkai Seelike Park to Odaiba, on a sunny day. Going on a boat cruise after visiting the Shinagawa Aquarium is one unique travel plan while dating. : )
